Barry Venning

Picasso’s Guernica and the Spanish Civil War

Barry has an MA in the History of Art from the Courtauld. He has been Associate Lecturer for the Open University since 1986, teaching advanced courses on Modern Art, Italian Renaissance and ‘Art and its Histories’. Between 1982 and 1990 he was Visiting Lecturer at Kent University and between 1987 and 1992 was Part-time Lecturer at Chelsea College of Art. Since 1992 he has been Lecturer in Art History at Brooklands College for Further and Higher Education, Weybridge. He is the author of books on Constable and Turner.
